About Us

Since 2011, our experienced, client-focused team of housekeepers has helped thousands of busy families enjoy cleaner and tidier homes.

The GYH team works hard to ensure our clients can come home with confidence to a clean & tidy home. We take care of the cleaning, tidying, and laundry, with our goal being that our clients enjoy their spare time at home, rather than worrying about chores.

Our professional, experienced team is legally employed by GYH, fully reference & police checked, trained in homes, and assigned to clients who match their expertise.

We always strive to match clients with a housekeeping team member who can meet their needs precisely and are always on hand to manage the ongoing housekeeper/client relationship.

Founder

I started GYO in 2011 as I was keen to work as a Professional Organiser, but knew that some of my clients struggled with maintaining order in their homes after I departed. I love working one-on-one with clients to get their homes in order. It is also a passion of mine to empower workers who might not always be in a position to access fair & stable employment. Being able to provide our helpers with an ongoing, stable, and relevant employment is one of my favourite aspects of working with GYO.

I started working for GYO in September 2014 and assisted in the overall administrative function. Now, I take care of placement needs, look through potential housekeepers that match with clients’ homes, and follow-through by gathering valuable feedback from clients and ensure they are happy with the services they receive.

I am extremely happy with what I do because helping families find solutions to their housekeeping needs not only gives me a sense of fulfilment, but also brings me into a much more challenging position, which I like. It’s never mundane.

“I came to work for GYH in December 2021. I provide administrative support to the Operations including answering phones, preparing documents, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth communication with housekeepers. I also manage the housekeeper onboarding and ensure that background and reference checks are completed.

Meet some of the housekeeper team

Ania

Ania is an energetic, friendly housekeeper with 4 years experience in Australian homes. She worked in private homes before joining GYO, but wanted to be part of an agency to ensure secure wages. Her skills include general cleaning, tidying, linen pressing, and has rave reviews..

Sue

Sue is a wonderful, mature housekeeper from Ireland. She has 6-7 years of housekeeping experience in Ireland and two years here in Australia. She worked in private homes and has worked in Aged Care as well. Her skills include Meal Preparation, Laundry, Ironing, Organising, Shopping, and General Cleaning. She is happy to work around children and pets.

Tiffany

Tiffany started a permanent resident then turned into a citizen. She is in her 40s with lots of cleaning and housekeeping experience. Prior to GYO, she worked as a housekeeper in Absolute Domestics – Melbourne for 6 years.

Lucy

Lucy is in her 50s. She has lots of cleaning and housekeeping experience in New Zealand and in Australia as well. Her skills include Laundry, Ironing, Mothercare, Meal Preparation and General Cleaning. She started in GYO with her daughter as her interpreter, and now, the clients are happy with her English.

Marian

Marian is a younger, energetic housekeeper with plenty of experience working in different homes. She joined us after cleaning and tidying AirBnb properties in North QLD.
